SERDANG, October 2023 - The Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FCSIT), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) had an initial collaboration visit from Kor Agama Angkatan Tentera (KAGAT), Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM). The faculty received an esteemed delegation from KAGAT who spearheaded by the Chief of Director, YBhg. Mej Jen Dato' Haji Mohd Rashidi bin Bujai, along with Lt. Col Nasaruddin bin Abd Wahab, the Head of Administration and Logistics at KAGAT, and Lt. Col Mohd Reduan bin Hussin, who heads Communication and IT at KAGAT. The occasion in conjunction with FSKTM's Silver Jubilee Celebration and Open Day, marking an auspicious collaboration.

The delegation from KAGAT was graciously hosted and engaged in a visit to the Network Outreach Program, skillfully managed by the Department of Communication Technology and Network. This program was designed to enrich the knowledge of 21 students from Tahfiz and Orphanage School (STAY) ATM which accompanied by Mej Zainita binti Ishak and few teachers. It exemplified our commitment to knowledge sharing with the local community by introducing them to several important topics, including network-related technologies, which form the infrastructure of the global Internet. Furthermore, it aimed to raise awareness about cybersecurity, an essential aspect in confronting the challenges of the ever-evolving era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Following this enlightening visit, the delegation proceeded to engage in discussions regarding potential collaborations with the faculty. These discussions were graciously led by the esteemed Dean of the faculty, Prof. Madya Dr. Razali bin Yaakob. The faculty hope the collaboration will continue and flourish in future endeavour.
