HAITS (Hilti Asia Information Technology Services) is a multinational company that has been collaborating with the Software Engineering and Information System (SEIS) Dept. specifically and faculty in general. The collaboration was originally initiated by Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Novia Admodisastro from the SEIS department and fully supported by the SEIS and Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FSKTM), Universiti Putra Malaysia.

The network started with entering HILTI competitions organised by HILTI. Next, the collaboration between HAITS and FSKTM began to evolve with co-supervising SEIS bachelor student’s final year project. This semester, we are greatly honoured to receive a grant worth RM4000 from HAITS awarded to Noraaein Sabtu for her final year project titled “Smart Inventory Checks in Construction Sites and Warehouses”. The project is co-supervised by Dr. Azrina Kamaruddin from FSKTM and Mr. Raj Puneet from HILTI. The previous semester grant receivers also include Low Jhi-Zhi, Oussama Elarbi Boudihir, Chia Yik Man. In total HAITS has sponsored RM16k to these projects. HILTI is one of the companies that is fond of research development and student enrichment at FSKTM.
