SERDANG, 25 July – Co-Curriculum and Student Development Center (PKPP), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), in collaboration with the Centre for Management of Waqf, Zakat and Endowment (WAZAN) and the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FSKTM) successfully organized the 'Road to Technopreneur' program as initiative to guide and develop digital entrepreneurs among UPM students.

The program was held for eight days since July 17 until July 24 recently attended by a total of 13 participants selected from the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology UPM. Deputy Director of PKPP UPM, Dr. Hizmawati Madzin said, this certification program is an added value that aims to nurture the spirit of entrepreneurship among students and encourage them to explore the rapidly growing field of technology and digitization.

Director of WAZAN UPM, Associate Prof. Dr. Mohd Daud Awang said, he hopes that the initiative of the PKPP and the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology will be an important step to produce more student in digital entrepreneurs who can help meet the needs of the country's entrepreneurial market.

A variety of interesting ideas and valuable experiences were shared as long as they were involved in the field of technology entrepreneurs. This successfully opened the eyes and minds of the participants and became a source of motivation and encouragement to continue to venture into this field.

Organizing such a program is able to strengthen the industry engagement through strategic cooperation between the industry and UPM. In fact, UPM graduates are also able to contribute ideas and manpower to potential employers who need appropriate skills in digital entrepreneurship.
