IT Innovation Challenge 2014

Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FCSIT), UPM in collaboration with UPM Students' Affair and Alumni Unit is organising IT Innovation Challenge 2014. This challenge acts as the preliminary level for all UPM teams to advance to the IHL Malaysia Startup Challenge (i-MSC) 2013-2014 organised by MDeC. The intention of this challenge is to encourage participants from the Institue of Higher Learning (IHL) to acquire the entrepreneurial mindset and skills to create, innovate, design and build a viable venture.

The competition will have two categories:

i)      IT Business Idea
Requirements:
10 minutes live presentation
5 pages of executive summary 
3 minutes video pitch

ii)     IT Business Plan
Requirements: 
15 minutes live presentation + product demonstration
7 pages of executive summary 
3 minutes video pitch

Each team need to submit the executive summary and video pitch to Dr Hizmawati Madzin via email hizmawati@upm.edu.my by 6th March 2014 (Teams which qualify to the IT Innovation Challenge 2014 will be notified before the competition day. )

IT Business Idea

1st prize:  RM1,000.00

2nd prize: RM   800.00

3rd prize: RM   500.00 

IT Business Plan

1st prize:  RM1,500.00

2nd prize:RM 1,000.00

3rd prize: RM   800.00

Best Presenter (Each category)

RM300.00
