Entry Requirement

PROGRAMME BY RESEARCH

DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY

1. A Master’s degree in the field of computing or related fields; OR
2. A Master’s degree in Non-Computing fields with a minimum of FIVE (5) years of working experience in the field of computing or related fields and passed appropriate prerequisite courses in computing; OR
3. A Master’s degree in Non-Computing fields within THREE (3) to less than FIVE (5) years of working experience in the field of computing or related fields and passed appropriate prerequisite courses in computing and subject to passing a rigorous internal assessment; OR
4. Other qualifications equivalent to a Master’s degree in the field of computing or related fields recognised by the Government of Malaysia and passed appropriate prerequisite courses in computing; OR
5. Bachelor's degree in the field of Computing or related fields with a minimum CGPA 3.75 or equivalent to a First Class Bachelor’s Degree and passed a rigorous internal assessment.

MASTER OF SCIENCE

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Computing or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 3.00; OR
2. A Bachelor’s degree in Computing or related fields with a CGPA of 2.750 – 2.999 can be accepted based on a minimum of 3 years of working experience in the related field; OR
3. A Bachelor’s degree in Computing with a CGPA of 2.000 – 2.749 can be accepted based on a minimum of 5 years of working experience in the related field and subject to passing a thorough rigorous assessment; OR
4. A Bachelor’s degree in Non-Computing field with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 can be accepted subject to passing a thorough rigorous assessment to identify the appropriate prerequisite courses that equivalent to their working experience (minimum 3 years) in the Computing or related fields; OR
5. A Bachelor’s degree in Non-Computing field with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 can be accepted subject to passing appropriate prerequisite courses; OR
6. Other qualifications equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Computing or related fields recognised by the Government of Malaysia must fulfil the requirement on item (i), (ii) or (iii).

2. MASTER OF INFORMATION SECURITY

3. MASTER OF SOFTWARE ENGINEERING

4. MASTER IN COMPUTER NETWORK

1. A Bachelor's degree in computing or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.75; OR
2. A Bachelor's degree in computing or related fields with a CGPA of 2.500 – 2.749 can be accepted based on a minimum of 1 year of working experience in the related field; OR
3. A Bachelor's degree in computing and related fields with a CGPA of 2.000 – 2.499 can be accepted based on a minimum of 5 year of working experience in the related field and subject to passing a thorough rigorous assessment; OR
4. A Bachelor’s degree in Non-Computing field with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 can be accepted subject to passing a thorough rigorous assessment to identify the appropriate prerequisite courses that equivalent to their working experience (minimum 3 years) in Computing or related fields; OR
5. A Bachelor’s degree in Non-Computing field with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 can be accepted subject to passing appropriate prerequisite courses; OR
6. Other qualifications equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Computing or related fields recognised by the Government of Malaysia must fulfil the requirement on item (i), (ii) or (iii).

Programme Offered by Semester
First Semester (October) and Second Semester (March) of every year.
