Serdang, August -The 5th Scientist of Tomorrow's Nobel Laureate's Outreach Camp (NLOC 2018) program involving Form four students from 35 Maktab Rendah Sains Mara (MRSM) was held on 27-30 August 2018 at Universiti Putra Malaysia through the cooperation of the Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA).
MRSM students of 192 were selected and sent to several Responsibility Centers (UPM) involving the Faculty of Science, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Forestry and Faculty of Computer Science & Information Technology aimed at exposing them with various branches of science including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture and Computer Science and Information Technology.
In line with the NLOC 2018 program's mission and goal, aims to expose the youth of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) through the close interaction of lecturers with various field expertise to enhance students' interest in that particular field.
Various programs and events have been created and one of the events is a 3-minute Science Talk (3MIST) which is a new idea from organizer to stimulate the MRSM student's ability to throw ideas, communicate and interact with fellow group members and lecturers.
Some of the students have been involved in one of the programs and events contested at the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology.
