Serdang, 14 March 2024 – Another significant milestone has been achieved by the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FSKTM) in its pursuit of academic and research excellence. FSKTM was honored to welcome YBhg. Professor Dr. Zamberi Sekawi, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), to officiate the appointment ceremony of 10 Research Group Leaders.

In his speech, Professor Dr. Zamberi Sekawi emphasized the crucial role of research groups in driving the university’s vision towards innovation. “The appointment of these research group leaders reflects our commitment to fostering a culture of research excellence. I have full confidence that their leadership will lead to groundbreaking discoveries and technological advancements with significant impact,” he said. He also highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration, stating, “In today’s digital era, innovation does not happen in isolation. It is through synergy across various research fields that we can achieve truly remarkable progress.”

The Dean of FSKTM, in his address, commended the appointed research leaders for their dedication and expertise. “This ceremony is a testament to FSKTM’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of computer science and information technology. I am confident that under the leadership of these experts, FSKTM will continue to contribute significantly to both academia and industry,” he said. He further emphasized the faculty’s vision for the future, stating, “With this outstanding team of researchers, we are determined to drive innovations that not only strengthen academic research but also offer practical solutions to real-world challenges.”
