SERDANG, 10 July – Dr. Iskandar Ishak, senior lecturer from the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) won two silver medals through the innovation category at the National University Co-curriculum Conference 2019 being held at UPM from 10 to 11 July 2019.

The conference, held for the first time, is organized by the Malaysian Universities Co‑curriculum Council (UniCC) in cooperation with the Higher Education Department (JPT), Ministry of Education Malaysia and Co-Curiculum and Student Development Centre UPM, and is themed ‘Innovation in Co-curricular to Enhance Student Development’. The conference has successfully attracted 42 working papers and 30 innovations associated with co-curricular teaching and learning from 13 Public Institutes of Higher Learning (IPTA). The conference was launched by Prof. Dr. Mohd Cairul Iqbal Mohd Amin, Deputy Director General of Higher Education (International Research), accompanied by YBhg. Prof. Dr. Roslan bin Sulaiman, Deputy Vice Chancellor of UPM and Prof. Dato’ Dr. Saharuddin bin Abdul Hamid, UniCC Chairman, at the Rashdan Baba Auditorium, Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research and Innovation), UPM.
