Serdang, 30 April 2025 – The Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FSKTM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), continues to strengthen its steps toward academic globalization by hosting The 4th International Conference on Deep Sciences for Computing and Communication (ICONDEEPCOM 2025), held on 29 and 30 April 2025 at Dewan Abdul Azim, FSKTM UPM.

This conference is the result of a strategic collaboration between UPM and the SRM Institute of Science and Technology, India, and marks a significant milestone in efforts to expand international research networks and reinforce UPM’s role as a center of research excellence in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and deep computing recognized at the global level.

The official opening ceremony of ICONDEEPCOM 2025 was graced by the presence of delegates from SRM Institute and FSKTM management, symbolizing the beginning of a high-potential cross-border collaboration in research and technological innovation.

Over the two-day conference, participants from various countries—including researchers, undergraduate and postgraduate students, and industry experts—shared their latest research findings on topics such as deep learning, intelligent communication, advanced data science, and cybersecurity. The event also sparked various collaborative initiatives, including joint journal publications, co-supervision of research students, and the development of international research grants.

According to the Dean of FSKTM, YBhg. Dato’ Prof. Dr. Shamala K. Subramaniam, this collaboration reflects the faculty’s commitment to driving excellence in world-class research:

By hosting international conferences like ICONDEEPCOM, UPM not only showcases its academic and technological capabilities but also fosters a global research ecosystem that is inclusive and high-impact.
