BESUT, TERENGGANU - The UPM team consisting of four undergraduate students won second place in the 2022 national level Pitching Boot Camp Phase 1 Competition for the creative video category. The bootcamp was conducted for 4 days and 3 nights starting from 15 to 18 August 2022 at Bukit Keluang Beach Resort, Besut, Terengganu.

The group called Putra Ocean Heroes is composed of Au Yen Ting, Wong Kai Wen, Ahmad Zaki Sharafuddin, and Alya Sufiya Abdull Rahman as well as two advisors, Dr. Hizmawati Binti Madzin and Ts. Dr. Siti Khadija Binti Ali.

The Digital Innovation Creativepreneur Program (DICE) 2022 is a national level competition organized by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education in collaboration with the Center for Technological Entrepreneurship and Smart Networking (PaKat) and Universiti Sultan Zainal Abdidin (UniSZA).

This program has three phases which are (1) creative idea formation camp, (2) project development and (3) final competition and closing ceremony. This competition involves 20 IPT and 1 JPPKK and is divided into two categories namely creative video and interactive media.

This competition can empower students' problem-solving, leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. In fact, the students can hone their critical thinking skills in a limited amount of time and acquire new 'soft skills' knowledge according to current technological changes.
