SERDANG, 3 December – An Intellectual Property Application presentation and evaluation session was held at the Centre of ICT Innovation (COI), Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), for the presentation of copyright applications for 17 SKM4313 (Augmented Reality Application) Mobile AR applications from students. 15 applications were supported, 1 application needed to be presented again and 1 application was rejected because it didn’t have commercial value.

SKM4313 is an elective course offered by the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology through the Bachelor of Computer Science (Multimedia) program. This course is offered to students every first semester with the prerequisite being the Computer Graphics course and was first introduced in 2015 with credit (1+2) that is 1 hour of class and 6 hours of practical per week. For this year, the lecturer that teaches SKM4313, Prof. Dr. Rahmita Wirza O.K. Rahmat, has invited 9 lecturers and 1 start-up company CEO to be co-supervisors or customers to students.
