JKPP Master of Computer Science Meeting Strengthens Curriculum and Strategic Ties

Serdang, 11 August 2025 – The Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FSKTM), Universiti Putra Malaysia, successfully held the Programme Committee Meeting (JKPP) for the Master of Computer Science, bringing together faculty management, academics, and invited experts from diverse sectors.

 

   

 

Prior to the meeting, an Opening Session was held with YBhg. Professor Dr. Zamberi bin Sekawi, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) who is carrying out the functions of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International). His presence emphasized the importance of synergy between academia, industry, and stakeholders in strengthening curriculum quality.

 

   

 

The meeting was attended by the Dean of FSKTM, faculty management members, the Department of Computer Science, as well as representatives from industry, government agencies, higher education institutions, and program alumni. Discussions focused on curriculum enhancement to ensure program content remains relevant to current technological developments and industry needs.

The panel of experts included:

  2. Ts. Dr. Faizura Haneem binti Mohamed Ali – Ministry of Economy

  3. Dato' Roger Foo Chin Hong – Vastcomp Holdings Sdn. Bhd.

  4. En. Mohd Khairulnizam bin Md Dahari – RHB Digital

  5. Pn. Hafirah binti Jamaludin – National Geospatial Centre

  6. Prof. Dr. Salwani binti Abdullah – Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia

  7. Prof. Dr. Azlan bin Mohd Zain – Universiti Teknologi Malaysia

 

      

 

This meeting reflects FSKTM UPM’s commitment to academic excellence through strengthening strategic collaboration with key stakeholders. It is hoped that such efforts will produce Master of Computer Science graduates who are competitive, industry-relevant, and globally competent.
